Polluxa PLM vs WFX PLM. A Fair Side-by-Side.

The choice between Polluxa PLM and WFX PLM depends on what else you want from the same vendor. WFX (World Fashion Exchange) is built for fashion businesses and sells PLM alongside its own ERP, factory software (MES) and traceability tools, aimed at "mid-market and enterprise brands managing hundreds of styles and global supplier networks". Polluxa PLM gives your designers, merchandisers, suppliers and sales one shared record per product, connects to the ERP you already run, and works in English and Arabic.

Key takeaways

  • WFX suits mid-market and enterprise fashion businesses that want PLM, ERP, factory and traceability software from one vendor.
  • Polluxa suits brands in fashion and beyond that want to start with one module, keep their ERP, and connect purchase orders, stock and sales to the product record.
  • Both are priced by quote and neither publishes prices.
  • WFX offers a free demo and cites an 8–12 week rollout. Polluxa offers unlimited free demos and a trial with your own data.
  • Polluxa states English and Arabic support. WFX's own website does not state its languages.

What WFX PLM is

WFX describes itself as "#1 PLM, ERP, MES, Traceability Software for Fashion Businesses". Its PLM page calls the product "AI-Powered Fashion PLM Software for Every Style, Every Season."

Besides Fashion PLM, the WFX product family includes a Virtual Showroom, Traceability, Apparel ERP, Textile ERP, MES (Smart Factory), PPC, Sustainability, AI solutions and integrations. WFX cites more than 55,000 users, more than 1,000 fashion businesses, more than 50 countries and more than 25 years in business. It is "100% cloud-based" and runs in the browser, with mobile apps.

Who WFX PLM is for. Mid-market and enterprise fashion.

WFX states its PLM is for "mid-market and enterprise brands managing hundreds of styles and global supplier networks". It lists apparel and ready-to-wear, footwear, beauty and accessories, activewear, denim, lingerie and swim, kids and babywear, and home and soft goods.

In our view, it is a strong fit for a fashion business that also wants its ERP, factory floor and traceability from the same vendor.

What Polluxa PLM is

Polluxa PLM gives designers, merchandisers, suppliers and sales teams one shared record for each product, instead of spreadsheets, email threads and WhatsApp groups. It has six modules: Product Development, Vendors, PO Sheet, Inventory, Task & Workflow and Sales, plus a Tech Pack Generator.

Who Polluxa PLM is for. Start with one module.

Polluxa serves fashion and apparel, outdoor and sports, cosmetics and personal care, consumer goods, retail and private label, and manufacturing. You choose the modules, users and suppliers you need, start small and add more later. It connects to your ERP instead of replacing it, and works in English and Arabic.

How we compared

We used six criteria, from each vendor's public website only:

  • Product data and tech packs: where specs, materials and versions live.
  • Supplier collaboration: how suppliers see and discuss your products.
  • Purchase orders and inventory: what happens after a sample is approved.
  • Sales: whether sales teams see live product data.
  • Setup and pricing model: demos, trials, timelines and how the price is set.
  • Languages and regions: where each vendor states it works.

Product data and tech packs. Both start here.

WFX lists tech packs with versioning, a full BOM (bill of materials), line planning by season with price and margin targets, and sample tracking for proto, fit, size-set, pre-production and top of production samples. It also lists costing with RFQ (request for quote) comparison and sustainability and traceability data. A Browzwear 3D sync is listed as upcoming.

In Polluxa, every product has one record with its full version history, so everyone sees the latest spec. Tech packs, BOMs, comments and approvals live on the product, and samples and fit approvals are tracked per style. The Tech Pack Generator builds supplier-ready tech packs from more than 1,000 product attributes.

Supplier collaboration. Fewer threads, one place.

WFX lists supplier collaboration in its PLM, and an iPad app for quality checks.

In Polluxa, you talk to suppliers on the quote, the product or the order itself, so quotes and changes are not chased over email and WhatsApp. Each supplier sees only the quotes, products and orders you share with them.

Purchase orders and inventory. Two different routes.

This is where the two differ most. WFX sells its own Apparel ERP and Textile ERP, and its PLM page lists ready connectors to NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and AIMS 360.

Polluxa keeps your ERP and adds buying tools to the product record. Purchase Order Worksheets create supplier-ready purchase orders straight from product data and track them to delivery. The Inventory module forecasts demand with AI by season, region and channel, and reorders when stock runs low. Our guide to PLM vs ERP explains which system does what.

Sales. Live data for the people who sell.

WFX's product family includes a Virtual Showroom. Ask WFX how it connects to the PLM product record.

Polluxa's Sales module gives sales teams live specs, prices and stock, also on mobile, and sends customer feedback back to product teams.

Setup and pricing. Know before you sign.

WFX:

  • Pricing is not public.
  • You can book a free demo. A free trial is not offered.
  • WFX says its PLM "can be rolled out within 8–12 weeks", depending on workflows, integrations and data.

Polluxa:

  • Pricing is not public either. Your price depends on the modules, users and suppliers you need, plus any integrations.
  • Demos are unlimited and free. After the first demo, you get a trial workspace with your own products, suppliers and workflows.
  • The setup timeline depends on the modules and integrations you choose and is agreed after the demo. Polluxa reports a 100% go-live rate, with guided data migration from spreadsheets.

Languages and regions. Ask before you assume.

WFX says it works in more than 50 countries. Its own website does not state which languages the product supports. A third-party directory lists Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese, so confirm the current list with WFX.

Polluxa works in English and Arabic for teams across India, the GCC and beyond. Published results include a GCC lifestyle retailer that cut new-product introduction time by 30% within six months, and a Riyadh manufacturer that now launches more than two months earlier.
