Polluxa PLM vs Centric PLM. Two Different Fits.

A fair comparison of Polluxa PLM and Centric PLM, based on each vendor's public website, with clear advice on which one fits which kind of brand.

Polluxa PLM vs Centric PLM. Two Different Fits.

The choice between Polluxa PLM and Centric PLM depends mostly on your size and how much you want from one vendor. Centric PLM, from Dassault Systèmes subsidiary Centric Software, is built to scale "for teams of 10 or 20,000 users" and sits inside a wider family of planning, pricing and market intelligence products. Polluxa PLM gives your designers, merchandisers, suppliers and sales one shared record per product, lets you start with one module, and works in English and Arabic.

  • Neither vendor publishes prices, so both are priced by quote.
  • Polluxa offers unlimited free demos and a trial with your own data. Centric offers a 60-minute demo with a PLM specialist.
  • Polluxa states English and Arabic support. We found no statement about Arabic from Centric, so ask in the demo.

What Centric PLM is

Centric Software calls itself an "End-to-End Product Platform From Concept to Commercialization". It says Centric PLM "connects product teams, suppliers, data and AI-powered insights in one platform".

Centric PLM is one part of a product family that also includes Centric Planning & Pricing, Centric Market Intelligence, Centric Visual Boards, Centric PXM and Centric AI Studio. Centric Software is a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, and in June 2026 Dassault named Centric PLM its preferred PLM for consumer packaged goods and retail.

A June 2026 Dassault release cites more than 2,900 Centric customers in more than 65 countries.

Who Centric PLM is for. Small teams to very large ones.

Centric describes its PLM as "completely scalable for teams of 10 or 20,000 users", and its home page speaks to "a small business or a large enterprise". It serves fashion and apparel, food and beverage, outdoor and sports, home and furniture, cosmetics and personal care, and consumer electronics.

In our view, Centric is a strong fit for large groups with many brands and many users that want planning, pricing and product data from one vendor.

What Polluxa PLM is

Polluxa PLM gives designers, merchandisers, suppliers and sales teams one shared record for each product, instead of spreadsheets, email threads and WhatsApp groups. It has six modules: Product Development, Vendors, PO Sheet, Inventory, Task & Workflow and Sales, plus a Tech Pack Generator.

It serves fashion and apparel, outdoor and sports, cosmetics and personal care, consumer goods, retail and private label, and manufacturing. It connects to your ERP instead of replacing it.

Who Polluxa PLM is for. Start small. Add the rest.

Polluxa is for brands that want to fix the problem that hurts most first, then grow. You choose the modules, users and suppliers you need. It also fits teams that work in Arabic as well as English.

How we compared

We used six criteria, from each vendor's public website only:

  • Product data and tech packs: where specs, materials and versions live.
  • Supplier collaboration: how suppliers see and discuss your products.
  • Purchase orders and inventory: what happens after a sample is approved.
  • Sales: whether sales teams see live product data.
  • Setup and pricing model: demos, trials, timelines and how the price is set.
  • Languages and regions: where each vendor states it works.

Product data and tech packs. One record, every version.

Centric lists BOM (bill of materials) management, costing, 2D and 3D design tool integration, and sustainability data such as certifications and impact scores. It advertises "50% fewer" physical samples. Line planning sits in the separate Centric Planning product.

In Polluxa, every product has one record with its full version history, so everyone sees the latest spec. Tech packs (design spec sheets), BOMs, comments and approvals live on the product itself. The Tech Pack Generator builds supplier-ready tech packs from more than 1,000 product attributes, with templates per category or supplier.

Supplier collaboration. Each supplier sees their part.

Centric's PLM connects product teams and suppliers in one platform and lists supplier and vendor collaboration. In July 2025, Centric announced a native iOS and Android mobile PLM app with supplier access.

With Polluxa's Vendor Management, you talk to suppliers on the quote, the product or the order itself. Each supplier sees only the quotes, products and orders you share with them.

Purchase orders and inventory. What happens after approval.

Purchase orders and inventory are not among the PLM features Centric lists on the pages we checked. Ask about them in the demo.

Polluxa's PO Sheet creates supplier-ready purchase orders straight from product data and tracks them to delivery, so details are not retyped. The Inventory module forecasts demand with AI by season, region and channel, and reorders when stock runs low.

Sales. Live data for the people who sell.

Centric's product family includes Centric PXM and Centric Visual Boards, and its older iPad apps include Collection Book. Ask Centric which of these, if any, your sales team would use.

Polluxa's Sales module gives sales teams live specs, prices and stock, also on mobile, and sends customer feedback back to product teams.

Setup and pricing. Know before you sign.

Centric:

  • Pricing is not public.
  • "Request a Demo" leads to a 60-minute demo with a PLM specialist. A free trial is not offered.
  • Centric cites "implementation in 3-4 months on average".

Polluxa:

  • Pricing is not public either. Your price depends on the modules, users and suppliers you need, plus any integrations.
  • Demos are unlimited and free. After the first demo, you get a trial workspace with your own products, suppliers and workflows.
  • The setup timeline depends on the modules and integrations you choose and is agreed after the demo. Polluxa reports a 100% go-live rate, with guided data migration from spreadsheets.

For how PLM quotes are built, see our guide to PLM software cost.

Languages and regions. Where each one works.

Centric says it works in more than 60 countries. Its website language selector shows English only, and we found no statement either way about Arabic in the product. In the region, Centric lists an office in Istanbul, and in June 2025 the skincare brand Beesline, which manufactures in Lebanon, Egypt and the UAE, selected Centric PLM.

Polluxa works in English and Arabic for teams across India, the GCC and beyond. Published results include a GCC lifestyle retailer that cut new-product introduction time by 30% within six months, and a Riyadh manufacturer that now launches more than two months earlier.

  • “The supplier never replied.” Suppliers discuss quotes, samples and changes on the product or order itself.
  • “We typed the PO by hand again.” Purchase orders come straight from product data and are tracked to delivery.
  • “Sales quoted last season's price.” Sales teams see live specs, prices and stock, also on mobile.
